THere are many useful ideas for encouraging literacy, teaching phonics, and building word analysis skills amongst students in primary school. However, there is nothing terribly unique about this book. I've seen many of these ideas in other publications. The CD-rom that comes with the book is difficult to navigate. WHile the CD-rom has good print outs of games and phonics sheets, the templates were embedded in a mass of advertisment and product information.
I would reccomend this book to student-teachers/teachers with little or no experience in the classroom and with little or no knowledge of language acquisition and linguistics.
