(More customer reviews)I have used this book this year for my Spanish 1 class. To say the least, it is extremely basic. In other words, it is not for the person who wants to learn a lot of Spanish fast. For a classroom pace, it is very slow, but at least it is interesting with the Telehistoria (a story line throughout the book used to catch the students' interest). Also, Avancemos has quite a few mistakes throughout the book. For example: Dónde es... should be Dónde está! Also, many instances, the student edition does not match up with the teacher edition. I do not recommend this book for an advanced class because of its slow pace.
